Aire Activities For Weeks Beginning 28th September
We will be reading the traditional tale Jack and the Beanstalk. We will act out the story with puppets and sequence the story before we have a go at retelling the story.
This week we will all keep practising the alphabet and learning tricky words in Phase 2, 3, and 4 of Letters and Sounds.  (If you would like more information on this programme please let us know).
Groups will focus on:
OWLS—  blending three letter words and the ‘ck’ sound
BATS—  using sounds ‘j’ ‘ch’ ‘sh’ ‘ai’ ‘ee’
BADGERS—  using sounds ‘ar’ ‘ng’ and reading longer words
FOXES—  using sounds ‘ie’ ‘ee’ ‘oy’ ‘er’
We are always counting in 1s 2s and 5s and now are practising counting in 10s up to and beyond 100.  We will also be finding 1 more and 1 less and 10 more and 10 less if we can.  During the week we will also be challenging ourselves to write numbers in words and form our numbers correctly.

This week we are continuing focusing on what we are made of and will also be talking about what other animals and plants are made of.  We will be hunting for animals tracks and finding living things in our wooded area too.
