Homework – listening to the views of parents

Over the last two years, we have appreciated the views ( both positive and not) of parents about all aspects of school and school life.

This has really been key in moving our school forward and most importantly helping the children achieve their best.

It has come to our attention that some parents have concerns about homework. We are keen to listen and also to have the opportunity to share ways of how we can work together in the best interests of the children.

Whilst we gather views and have the opportunity to speak to parents this week instead of the usual homework we ask that the children focus on Reading and read for a short amount of time ( depending on age) each night.

On Wednesday 7th October at 3.00pm we would like to invite parents into classes to talk to staff and discuss ideas and worries.  We hope as many parents can attend as possible.
