World Book Day Thursday 2nd March 2017

Calling all performing Poets!!

To celebrate World Book Day at Brotherton and Byram CP Academy we will be hosting a fabulous performance poetry day on Thursday 2nd March. The children will have lots of opportunities to explore poetry written by different poets and as classes they will learn a poem or rhyme off by heart, including fantastic actions as well. The rest of the school will get to watch each performance in the ‘Performance Poetry Showdown’ in Friday’s assembly. The children are welcome to bring along any favourite poems or poetry books to share with their class. We can’t wait to see the finished performances and find all the aspiring poets in our school!
