Making learning real… a whole school visit to the Mining Museum
As part of our whole school theme this term of ‘What fuel will we use in 20 years time?’ the children visited the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield. This provided the children with a first hand opportunity to learn from ‘real miners’ all about their lives and their lives down the mine. The children had the chance to ‘go down’ the mine and learn all about the different jobs that they may have had at that time. Read below some of the comments from the children:
