National Rugby success beckons for past pupil Keara

We are hugely proud to announce that one of our past pupils Keara has been successful in gaining a place on the England Rugby Developing Player Programme (ERDPP) scheme run by Yorkshire Carnegie.

It was at the North Yorkshire School Games finals at Queen Margarets School, York that I first saw the sheer courage and bravery this young lady showed when tackling players – often those much taller than herself. Her fearless character and sheer drive and determination have clearly paid dividends and now she has the opportunity to impress on a national platform.

Keara attended trials back in February at West Park Leeds RUFC and really impressed the Academy Directors who stated she truly deserves her place.  She will now attend the 18 month programme starting on March 16th with the hope at the end  she will be successful to go on to better achievements with the England Camp.

We wish her every luck and will follow her success with interest and pride.
