During this term our school has taken in part in many sporting events against other schools. Year 4 and 5 took part in a handball competition, winning every match. Children have taken part in football tournaments and showed great team work.
Many of our Key Stage 2 children took part in our district cross country qualifier with 5 children getting through to the regional final. All children in both qualifiers really pushed themselves (with some children experiencing the event for the first time). We did really well in the regional final with all children coming in the first 40 of their age group, two children getting into the first 15. What an achievement!
All the hard work that every child puts in to P.E. lessons, extra practise during breaks and in their own time is really paying off. We are really showing that we are ‘aiming high’ in everything we do and putting Brotherton and Byram Community Primary Academy on the sporting map. Well done!
