Change of swimming arrangements

Dear Parents,

Thank you to everyone who has returned their swimming reply slips for Key Stage 2 children.  This is a great opportunity for children to improve their swimming skills and is part of the National Curriculum.

Due to Selby swimming instructors attending a course, the first swimming lesson will now take place on Tuesday 7th March. Selby leisure have planned for this first lesson to last an hour, instead of half an hour, in order to provide the same amount of pool time originally offered. This will allow for those less confident to become familiar with the pool environment and for those children with more confidence to have further practice on swimming styles.  Therefore there will be 5 sessions with one extended session, rather than 6 sessions.
