A Message from the Headteacher…

Good afternoon everyone,

Our first week back has gone really well even though we are now in our second lockdown.  This week children have had a bonfire themed day across curriculum subjects with some great learning coming from it.  Humber have also recorded their sharing assembly which will be going out to Year 6 parents shortly.

Next week we have Remembrance Day and on Friday we have Children In Need day.  On Friday, children can wear something yellow to school.  We cannot take donations but please make a donation elsewhere if you can.

Next Monday evening (9th November) at 5.30pm, I will be holding a zoom meeting to discuss our updated Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) policy and teaching and learning of the RSE policy.  It is very important to get your views so I hope you can join me.  A zoom link will be sent via ParentHub.

We have been very lucky so far not to have to send any classes home because of a positive COVID case but there are definitely more positive cases being reported in the community.  Thank you for helping to keep our school safe by:

  • Wearing face masks at all times in the school grounds.
  • Following the one way system at all times.
  • Always maintaining 2 metre distancing from others.
  • Keeping time in school during drop off and pick up to a minimum.
  • Keeping talking to children about social distancing.

Please can I also ask you to continue to follow government lockdown guidelines outside of school too so we can reduce risk and keep all classes in school.

Have a good weekend.

Keep safe,

Mrs Fletcher
