A message from the Headteacher…

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope everyone is keeping safe and getting used to routines now we have been in lockdown for a few weeks.  It has definitely been a tough few weeks.

Thank you yet again for all your commitment with remote learning, keeping children going and supporting them.  The children have produced some great work so far which has been brilliant to see!  To make sure the children feel even more connected with school during home learning, we would like to ring children and parents once every couple of weeks.  So,  please don’t be surprised if your child’s teachers give you a ring just to have a quick catch up with you and your child.

On Monday we are holding another parent forum via zoom at 5pm and would love as many parents to join us if you can to update us on how learning is going during lockdown and any improvements we can make.  We will also be able to update you on plans we have.  A zoom link will be shared on ParentHub on Monday.

I also wanted to let you know that the government has cancelled SATs, phonics screening and times tables checks this academic year.  These are final checks of learning in school and it does not mean we will have any lesser expectations of learning but we children will just not take part in external assessments.

Have a good weekend and hopefully I will see lots of you at the parent forum on Monday.

Many thanks again for all your support,

Mrs Fletcher
