Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you all had a great half term and are ready for the last half term before the summer.  This is always a busy time in school and a time to celebrate everything the children have achieved this year (which is a lot!).

This time last year Covid was definitely in the forefront of our mind, restricting what we could and couldn’t do in school so it is great this term to be able to get back to some sort of normality with activities we have planned.  So, we are really looking forward to Sports Day next Wednesday (15th June) and would love to see you all for a picnic lunch and then races on the field during the afternoon.  I sent a message out this week with details but, just in case you missed the message:

Bring a picnic and join us at 12.15 for a whole school picnic lunch outside. Children will go inside at 1pm for registration and will then come out in classes for races on the field.  They will stay with their classes and can then be collected at the end of the day as normal.

It would be lovely if you could stay after lunch and join us.  If you have a picnic rug/camping chair, please bring along.  We will provide some chairs as well.

We have asked children to wear a t-shirt in their team colour if they have that coloured t-shirt, but please don’t buy a new one if you haven’t.  They will only be in colour teams during the morning.  Please can children wear sun hats and have cream applied in the morning if it is sunny and don’t forget their water bottles.  We will put our gazebos up too for classes.

Friday 17^th June – Father’s Day – Dads, Stepdads, Grandads & Uncles all invited to school at 2.30pm to read with the children and to afternoon tea and cake
