Good afternoon,

We have had a really good but busy week. This week lots of our Year 6 children have had
transition days to their new high school and have come back very excited about their move.
Our Year 4 and 5 children have visited Leeds Art Gallery and had an amazing time and then we
had our summer fair last night.

It was so good to see so many families stay for the fair and it was great to have the fair in school
again after such a long time. The fish and chips went down well too!

Today, we have Bradford University working in school with our Year 6 children on a transition
project called,’Folding the Page’ which has been really good too.

Next week is the start of our two week transition which will help the children settle into routines of
their new class and stop any worries over the summer. Please bring children to their current
classes on Monday morning and then collect from their new classroom. I sent a message out a
couple of weeks ago about which door to drop off and collect but just to remind everyone:
Please bring children to the same classes in the morning, as you have done all year. In the
afternoon, children will be in their new classes so please pick up from the following places:
Reception and nursery – nursery door
Year 1 – Year 1 door
Year 2 – Year 2 cloakroom door
Year 3 – Key Stage 2 doors
Year 4 – Year 4 classroom door
Year 5 – Year 5 classroom door
Year 6 – Year 6 classroom door
Current Year 6 pupils will be working on projects in the hall and can be picked up from the library
entrance leading on to the playground.
On Tuesday 12th July, children will go straight to their new classrooms via:
Reception and nursery – Early Years entrance
Year 1 – Year 1 classroom door
Year 2 – Year 2 cloakroom door
Year 3 – Year 3 classroom door
Year 4 – Year 4 classroom door
Year 5 – Year 5 classroom door
Year 6 – Year 6 classroom door
Current Year 6 – library door

I am really looking forward to seeing children settling into their new classes next week. They are
all definitely ready to move up, even though some have said they are feeling a bit nervous.

Have a lovely weekend and see you all next week,

Mrs Fletcher
