Newsletter 10 March 2023

Dear Parents/Carers,
What a snowy end to the week! Children have had a great time in the snow this morning.
It was good timing for a non uniform day too! Thank you for all the donations children have brought in supporting our Year 6 pupil who is representing England in national dance competition.
Our Early Years children had a fantastic trip to The National Railway Museum this week. They couldn’t believe how big the wheels on the trains were!
Next week is a busy one with teacher strikes, parent teacher meetings, Red Nose Day, our Mothering Sunday celebration and teacher training day.
Next Wednesday and Thursday there are national teacher strikes. We have a few teachers striking but I am anticipating we can keep all classes open. I will let you know on Monday if this changes.
We have parent teacher meetings online next week and the week after. Unfortunately there has been a glitch in the system so parents have been unable to book but hopefully this has been rectified and you should now be able to book. This is a great opportunity to discuss how your child is progressing so please book a slot.
Thursday will be a very busy day! We are celebrating Red Nose Day so children can come in non uniform and donate to Comic Relief.
On Thursday we are also inviting any mums, grandmas and aunties in from 2.15pm to have a cup of coffee/tea and cake and then go into classes at 2.45pm to read with your children. We have changed the time as we had so many coming to this event last year. I hope you can make it. There will also be a raffle, fundraising for our Year 6 child representing England in the dance competition.
Friday is a teacher training day so school is closed.
So, a very busy week!
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the snow if we get some more.
Many thanks,
Mrs Fletcher
