Year 6 Residential to Scarborough

Our Year 6 children had a fantastic time in Scarborough for their residential and a much deserved treat after SATs.

We went den building and orienteering in Dalby Forest on the first day then to the youth hostel for tea and evening bingo, quiz and awards.  A cup of hot chocolate finished our day before going to bed.

The next day we celebrated one of our children’s birthday, which was very special.  We then walked to Scarborough castle for sketching then onto the harbour for fish and chips on the beach, bowling and a visit to the gift shop.  We walked back to the hostel, having a stop for an ice cream.  Tea was waiting for us, which was delicious, then we made fridge magnets using our sketches, had another game of bingo and awards before hot chocolate and bed.

The last day, we had a trip to the Sealife Centre and beach, made sand castles and went rock pooling before heading back to the hostel for lunch and back to school.

So, a very busy but great time was had by all.  The children were brilliant and made us all very proud.  We were all very tired on the coach coming back to school!
