Dear Parents/Carers,

What lovely sunny weather to finish the week!  I hope you all had a good half term break; it seems a lot longer than a week since we have come back. This week has been busy and I have no doubt it will be the same right up until the summer holidays:

We had a meeting for parents of children ready to start school next year followed by an evening with Year 6 parents and children, celebrating our recent school trip.  Our Key Stage 1 children have been on a school trip to the seaside and our Year 4 children had a brilliant sharing assembly.

After school, our Trust Parliament held their first ‘Swap Shop’ which was a big success.  Thank you to everyone who brought in books, toys and school uniform.  We had £35 in donations which is a great start.  Our school uniform swap table also went down well and it is such a good way to reuse uniform, toys and books.  If you do have any toys/books/games that your children are not using and you would like to donate, please bring them in.  We are hoping to have our next swap shop in July.

Next week, on Wednesday it is our Sports Day.  I hope you can join us for a picnic lunch at 12.15 then races in the afternoon.  It is always such a great event and we are really looking forward to it.

We also have a Father’s Day afternoon tea on Friday.  If you can, please come along from 2.30pm for a cup of tea and cake and read with your child.  If any dads, uncles cannot make it, please feel free to send a family member.

We are all really looking forward to everything that is going on.

Have a lovely weekend and see you next week,

Mrs Fletcher
