Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back to a new school year at Brotherton and Byram CP Academy! 

An especially warm welcome if your child has joined us for the first time this academic year; our hope is that they thrive whilst they learn and grow with us on their personal learning journey. Thank you to all our parents for all your ongoing support as we have settled children into their new classes with their new teachers. We are immensely proud of how well all of our pupils have come to school this week and thrown themselves fully into their new learning. 

Thank you for your support with uniform and PE kits as well, the children all look very smart! Please find further details below to confirm your child’s PE days when we would like them to come to school wearing their PE kit. 

During our first assembly of the year, I reminded the children of our school values: Respect, Courage, Honesty and Trust. These are the values that shape our behaviours and attitudes and are central to all that we do in our learning community. 

We have some exciting things planned for our pupils this year and some wonderful events to invite you along to. See below for a few upcoming events with the dates for the full term to follow when they have been confirmed next week. 

Lastly, may I take this opportunity to thank you all for your wishes of support and encouragement as I take up my new role this week. It is a great privilege to work alongside such an incredible community of staff, pupils and families. Please do not hesitate to come and speak to me if you have any questions, concerns or ideas moving forwards!
