Celebrating Good Behaviour!
We’ve had another good week here at school with so many children on good or wow all week! As you know, last week we launched our new good behaviour rewards to help recognise the amazing behaviour in our school. The children have really enjoyed the new recognition and community focus on showing our appreciation for their hard work and good choices.
Well done to everyone who has been awarded the ‘Star of the Day’ in each team; this award is chosen by the class teacher every day for someone who has made good choices all day. I’ve also had the great pleasure to hand out Headteacher Awards to several children who have excelled in an area of their learning by making incredible progress! I have given out awards this week for progress in writing and also for sharing into equal groups. Well done!
In other news this week, Year 6 have had a fantastic trip to Pizza Express in Leeds as part of their learning on Italy. The children really enjoyed making bread dough to make their own pizzas. They chose their own toppings and then tasted the results of their hard work! They represented our school really well and we are very proud of them. Thank you Miss Smyth for organising and running this excellent trip!
Finally, to aid us with keeping your children safe, please may we ask that pupils do not come to school before 08:30. We have noticed that some children are coming onto the playground as early as 08:20, which is not safe as there are no staff on duty before 08:30 and doors open at 08:35. Thank you for your support with site security and ensuring that children are as safe as possible.
