Newsletter 7th November 2025

Friday 7th November 2025

Welcome back to school for the second half of the Autumn Term! The weather is certainly changing as we move into November and it’s been a joy to see all the children come back after a good rest. We hope they all enjoyed the break and we have lots to look forward to this term!

Children across school have been working hard on their learning. It has been great to pop into lessons to see all the hard work that they have been doing. I enjoyed finding out more about how men and women were treated differently in different city states across ancient Greece in Year 6 this week. I was also blown away by the reading and writing of some of our youngest learning in Year 1 during Phonics! Team Aire have really impressed us with their Phonics knowledge and they are working incredibly hard! Well done! The children in EYFS have had lots of fun exploring colour by taking part in splatter painting up in Forest School today. The children have worked together to create a beautiful canvas that is over 5 metres long! Well done team – it looks amazing!

Meanwhile, over in Year 5, the children have been learning about World War 2 and they have been absolutely fascinating. Some children have been so interested that they have brought in information about their relatives who were involved in the war to share with their team. This has been really interesting – I wonder if anyone else has information about a relative who was involved in the way that they would like to share with their team?

In other news, if you (or someone you know) has young children, we would like to signpost you to the government’s Best Start in Life website following the link here below:

Best Start in Life website.

This is a fantastic resource with lots of helpful information about caring for young children and signposts with lots of support, including information about childcare and funding. We’ve found it to be a fantastic resource for parents!

Don’t forget key dates coming up, including individual pupil photos next Monday. We are also having our anti-bullying theme week next week, so we are inviting children to come in wearing odd socks on Monday as part of our assembly and PSHE teaching. Have a great weekend and see you next week!

Thank you for your continued support, Mr Greene
