Friday 5th December 2025
We have had another busy week this week in school! Team Ouse started their new PE unit called “Hands, feet, equipment.” They learnt this week to dribble using a football and a hockey stick and ball. They had to avoid the cones and then dribble through them. Team Ouse love PE!
Meanwhile, Team Aire has been exploring what a ‘whole’ is in Maths. Working practically, they cut up pizza into slices to make a whole and worked to sort pictures into ‘a whole’ and ‘not a whole’. Well done Year 1!
Over at our Wednesday morning Stay & Play group, the children and families were absolutely delighted to receive a special visit from Santa. Every child received a gift from Him and they loved sharing a story together. Thank you for your visit Santa!
In other news, as the weather is getting darker and colder, can we please remind you to help your children to stay safe near roads and when passing through the school grounds. Please remind your children to check before crossing any roads and can we remind everyone to not use bikes and scooters on the school site at any time. Thank you.
Please join us for our upcoming Christmas events over the next two weeks! Next week on Wednesday, we are looking forward to sharing the EYFS Christmas Nativity with family and friends of pupils in Team Esk and Nidd. Next Friday is also the deadline to send in money for your children to take part in the secret room event if they would like to participate. Please send money and who they are buying a gift for in a named envelope to the office by next Friday 12th December.
Have a wonderful weekend and see you next week, Mr Greene
