We are very grateful to PC Spooner, our local Police Liaison Officer, this week for coming into school to deliver an assembly on how to stay safe online. Being online provides children with access to a wide range of information, learning and entertainment opportunities. However, we know that there are associated risks with going online and PC Spooners session complimented our in-class teaching in PSHE on this important topic. Children were reminded to speak to their parents/carers or a safe adult if they ever see anything online that worries them. We also talked about not sharing personal details online and being aware that you don’t know who you are communicating with online.
Meanwhile in the classrooms, children have been very busy this week continuing with their different learning opportunities. In Team Foss, for example, the children were using active games and their chromebooks to learn and practise using the date in Spanish. Children had a go at speaking together with their new knowledge and then completing writing activities with the date in Spanish. Well done Team Foss and well done as well for receiving your latest attendance award!
In Team Aire this week, the children have been learning about shape and pattern. They loved using this knowledge to practically explore different shapes and make pictures. Children learned to name a variety of shapes and then used them to create different patterns. Well done team Aire!
Thank you for your continued support and have a great weekend, Mr Greene
