Newsletter 30th January 2026

Friday 30th January 2026

We’ve had another very busy (if a little wet and windy!) week at school! This week, I’m delighted to share some of the learning that took place yesterday morning during our carousel of lessons. The children in Derwent, Calder and Humber enjoyed taking part in Forest Schools, PE and Spanish as part of their Thursday morning rotation. This week with Senora Sadullah, the children in Team Calder did a great job of learning larger numbers in Spanish. In Team Derwent, the children have been planning out and drawing their ideas for how they will develop Forest School this year. Meanwhile, in Team Humber the children developed their teamwork skills and their resilience by working together to move a tennis ball across the playground using guttering and not their hands! Lots of fun was had by all, as well as lots of problem solving and communication! Well done everyone! I also want to draw your attention to an important communication update – please see below:

Important Update: As of the 9th February 2026 all communication from school to you as parents and carers will be moving from Parent Hub to Arbor. Arbor can be accessed either through a mobile or tablet app or through the portal on your laptop or computer. If you haven’t already, please download Arbor by using the QR on the link below:

Please check your email inbox: Invites for Arbor Communications have been sent out via email this week. Sometimes the initial email from Arbor with your log-in details may go into your spam or junk folders, so please check this folder if you have not received your log in details. To make sure our emails consistently reach your primary inbox, here are some simple steps you can follow to add our school’s email address to your safe senders list or contacts:

  1. Open your spam or junk folder
  2. Find any emails from us and mark them as “not spam” or “not junk”
  3. Add our school’s email address to your contacts or safe sender list.

If you have any questions or require any further assistance, please contact us via the school office.

Thank you for your continued support and have a great weekend, Mr Greene
