Friday 6th February 2026
This week Team Humber went on their trip to Lotherton Hall, Leeds, as part of their Science Topic on Evolution. They enjoyed their tour of the zoo and saw lots of animals including penguins, the Kinkagou and capabaras. As part of their trip they took part in a workshop about animal adaptations. Animal adaptation is any inherited trait, physical or behavioral, that helps an animal survive in its specific environment enabling it to thrive in its habitat through features like camouflage, large ears for cooling, or migration. The children came back with loads of facts and they clearly had a really good time. Many thanks to Miss Smyth for organising such a great trip!
