Girls’ Football Tournament

After a break of several years Team BB girls returned to football with a team from Calder and Humber taking part in a tournament at Selby leisure centre yesterday afternoon.  There was some mighty competition to overcome but the glorious girls remained in high spirits and never dropped in their enthusiasm, effort and teamwork. There were tense moments in the ‘Ebor Derby’ against team Staynor Hall which unfortunately went their way but the team rallied with a no score draw against Cawood and a victory of the day against Selby CP. For some of the team this was their first taste of football but they thoroughly enjoyed it and lost themselves completely in the tournament. Well done team BB girls!
