E-Safety

Dear Parents,
We know that E-safety is important to you all in keeping our children safe online. It has come to schools attention that children can access an app called ‘Yubo’. This is an online dating app for teenagers aged between 13 and 17. This is clearly for young people older than our children in school but if an incorrect date of birth is entered they can access it.
Parents can put parental settings on electronic devices to authorise the purchase or download of apps.
Please could all parents check their children are not accessing this app to ensure our children’s safety. If parents would like any help with parental settings please let us know. Mr Metcalfe will be available to support parents to check settings if needed.
