World Book Day

Team BB had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day yesterday. It was so wonderful to see the children in their costumes and spend the day enjoying poetry together. Our children in Team Esk and Nidd were in fine voice sharing many, many nursery rhymes. In Teams Aire and Ouse, the children practised using their readers’ voices to perform poems as pirates, fairies and dinosaurs. Teams Derwent and Foss joined forces to create their own poems and perform poetry to each other. Teams Calder and Humber had an opportunity to explore some classic poetry and enjoyed getting their teeth into The Tyger by William Blake.
