Good afternoon everyone,

I hope everyone is keeping strong and healthy.  I wanted to update you on what we have been doing as a school community and keep in touch as much as we can.  For as long as we have to close school we will be there to support all children and parents and if we don’t hear from you, we will step up our concerns so please keep in touch either by email, google forms or ringing in to school.  Esk, Nidd, Aire and Ouse classes have a daily google form to complete so we can make sure you are all ok and Key Stage 2 check in on google classroom with children every day. We will be following up with parents if we do not hear from you or we are concerned children are not accessing their learning so please keep in contact.

It is now the middle of the second week of home learning and we have had some great feedback from parents.  It has been a very busy time for us all working from home, with lots of learning shared and staff making sure everyone can access their learning and checking everyone is OK.  We will be sharing photos of learning that is happening so please keep sharing!

Please let us know if your child is struggling or you are struggling to keep your children on track with their learning and we will support you.  We would rather do that now than wait until they return back to school and certain children have a lot of catching up to do.

Next week and the week after it is officially the Easter holidays for children so we will be sending out suggested activities on Friday.  Home learning planning will then be sent out the Friday before children start home learning again on the 20th April.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our ‘101 Things To Do’ challenge.  We have got some great activities and will post our first one today. Please keep sending ideas in!

Keep safe,

Mrs Fletcher
