Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you all had a good long weekend, albeit a very cold and rainy one.

We have had a busy week in school this week finishing off with our ‘National Number Day’ today.  Children have been busy with lots of active maths challenges and have really enjoyed it.  TT Rockstars became very competitive too!

Last week saw our Global Champions in Year 5 meet on zoom with other Global Champions from 11 other schools to discuss our links with schools in Sierra Leone and share what we are doing in school to improve our environment.  They were brilliant ambassadors for our school and have got some great ideas moving forward.  We will share more information about their exciting plans soon.

One project is starting an allotment and soon we will have the raised beds in place ready for planting which is really exciting.  It will be such a good opportunity for the children to grow lots of vegetables and fruit.

Next Tuesday, we have a parent forum at 5pm.  This will be an opportunity to share what we are doing in school and discuss any suggestions you have for school improvement so I hope you can join me and Mr Greene.  A zoom meeting link will go out on ParentHub on Monday.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend (think it is meant to be another rainy one I’m afraid!)

See you on Monday,

Mrs Fletcher
