Year 6s:  Transition to High School

At this time of year, many of the Year 6s quite naturally start to think about their move to high school in September.  In school, we do everything we can to support our Year 6s in making the transition into their new setting as smooth as possible.  In addition to in-school transition lessons and activities, we also work with each of the high schools to share key information.  We will, of course, keep you informed of any information received from your child’s high school as and when we receive it.

Y6s Transitioning to Sherburn High School

Sherburn High School has informed us that, unfortunately, due to current circumstances, they are unable to offer in school transition days.  They have, however, suggested that if parents or pupils have any concerns or anxieties, then they can contact the Sherburn High School Year 7 Transition Leader with any queries:  Andrew.Stanton@shs.starmat.uk .
