On Thursday 10th June, the whole school celebrated ‘Empathy Day.’ The theme for this year was to ‘walk in someone else’s shoes.’ Across school, classes listened to a book which linked to the feeling of empathy and completed some activities to help us understand empathy more. In KS1, children talked about the qualities they’d like in a friend. They then made a friendship stick to give to a friend in Forest Schools. In KS2, children learnt how to be empathetic and then made an empathy resolution.
