Dear Parents/Carers,

We had a really good week last week and on Friday children had a ‘Festival of Light’ focused day to finish off our first week back.

We also met with all our new champions.  They had to apply to be a champion and are looking forward to their new responsibilities.  I am so pleased they are very excited about helping improve our school and are, quite rightly, very proud to be doing so.

We have the following champions:

Restorative Champions – who will be focusing on everyone’s well being and supporting other children to make sure they feel safe and happy in school.

Sports Champions – who will plan and deliver activities to keep everyone fit.

Class Champions – who will work with me and their classes to improve our school.

We already have Global Champions who will continue with our Global Goals project and planning activities to improve our environment.

We will also be having Reading Champions who will encourage others in class to read and will recommend books to read.

Several weeks ago I sent out information to you regarding governor vacancies in school.  I am delighted to inform you that Mrs Bratt and Mr Jastrzebski are our new parent governors and I am very much looking forward to working with them to improve our school.

We sadly said, ‘Goodbye,’ to Mrs Finch in the office on Friday.  She is going to work in her family business and we wish her lots of luck.  She will be really missed but she has promised to keep in touch.

It is Remembrance Day on Thursday and children can purchase poppies in school.  On the day, we will be having a minute’s silence.

It is also ‘Children in Need’ on Friday. Children can come in non-school uniform and bring in a donation.

Many thanks

Have a good week

Mrs Fletcher
