Dear Parents/Carers,

We have had a busy week in school with lots of exciting learning happening.  There have been Chinese New Year celebrations, Forest School learning, walks around our village and cooking with Phunky Foods as part of our research project, on top of all the learning in class.  To finish the week we have our Year 4 assembly.  So, some great learning experiences for all our children.

Next week all classes will be focusing on practical maths activities and we also have our Year 6 assembly on Friday.

On Monday I am holding a parents forum in school at 2.45pm.  We have had some parents asking about what we cover in our Relationships and Sex Education and Personal, Social, Health Education curriculum and how this fits with our restorative culture and school vision so I hope you can join me to discuss.  It is always great to have your views.

We are continuing with family reading on a Tuesday afternoon from 2.45pm and next week parents from Aire and Humber classes are invited in to read with their children.  Feedback from parents has been very positive about coming in and reading so if you haven’t been in yet, please join us if you can.

You will have also heard both in the news and letters sent out, that teachers across the country are striking on Wednesday.  We currently are not closing any classes and we will do all we can to make sure this happens.  I will keep you updated if this changes but I am hopeful this decision will not change.

Have a lovely weekend and see you next week,

Many thanks for all your support,

Mrs Fletcher
