Newsletter 3rd March 2023
03/03/2023
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are finishing our week on a high with our celebration of ‘World Book Day’ today. It has been a great opportunity to share a love of reading and what everyone’s favourite book is. Our whole day has been focused on reading and what is special about reading and the books we love.
I am not sure what your favourite book is but I find it difficult to choose only 1! One of my favourites though is ‘Six Dinner Sid’ which my own children loved. It would be lovely to know what your favourite books are. If you can, please email in to school and let us know or pop into the office and share.
Next week, our early years children are going on a school trip to the National Railway Museum and I am really looking forward to finding out what they got up to. They are always so enthusiastic about their learning so it will be a real treat to listen to what they have done.
Next Friday we are also having a non uniform day to fundraise for one of our children in Year 6 who is representing England, with other members of her dance school, in an international dance competition in Europe in May. This is an amazing achievement and the school would like to support with fundraising to help make this happen. There will also be a raffle and cake stall during our Mother’s Day celebration in school later in the month. If you would like your child to take part in the non-uniform day and raise funds, please bring in a pound on Friday.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and enjoy the lighter nights and the first signs of spring.
Many thanks,
Mrs Fletcher
