Good afternoon,
Welcome back, we hope you all had a good half term.
It has been great to have the children back in school this week and they have made a really good start to this half term’s learning.
This week our Year 4 children have been on a very successful trip to The National Science and Media Museum in Bradford. Please take a look on twitter and on our website to see what a great experience they had.
Thank you to everyone who could join us on Shrove Tuesday for pancake races. It was lovely to see so many of you and be part of the fun.
Today we end the week celebrating learning in Year 3 so a great end to the week.
Next week, a teacher strike called by members of the National Education Union is planned for Tuesday 28 February. Currently we are able to keep open all classes in school, although those classes affected may have a changed timetable of learning. But, we will confirm on Monday if this changes.
Next Friday, we are celebrating ‘World Book Day’. The official day is Thursday but we are celebrating on Friday instead to celebrate the end of the week. You should have had information about the day already but children are not dressing up this year as we did not want to put any more pressure on finances for everyone. Instead, we are asking children to bring in or share the title of their favourite book. Please do not go out and buy a book.
So another busy week ahead.
Have a good weekend and see you next week,
Mrs Fletcher
