Year 1 Trip to Pontefract Castle

Team Aire thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Pontefract Castle where they were immersed into an imaginary adventure with Ilbert the Dragon. They became baby dragons as they explored the different areas of the castle ruins and completed dragon jobs such as protecting the main gate and lighting candles with their fire breath!

After their exploration they then spent time plotting their own Pontefract castle adventure story by choosing characters, a plot, a historical object and a setting in the castle for their story to take place! Team Aire are looking forward to planning and writing their stories later this week in school.
