Newsletter 20th December 2024
Friday 20th December 2024
As we arrive at the end of term, I would like to thank all our families for our partnership together this year. Thank you for your ongoing support; we are so proud of our pupils at Brotherton and Byram Academy and all the progress that they have made this year. The children have worked incredibly hard and continue to impress us every day. It is a great joy to work alongside the staff team, and yourselves as a school community, to provide a quality education for every pupil, full of rich experiences and new opportunities. This term we have seen our school values – Courage, Honesty, Trust and Respect – modelled by our pupils in bucketfuls!
We have really enjoyed celebrating the Christmas season with you and our children have enjoyed a range of exciting activities. This week on Monday, the children loved dancing and celebrating together at our school discos. Their behaviour was amazing, as were their moves; we all had lots of well-deserved fun!
On Tuesday it was a great joy to take the children in Key Stage 1 and 2 to see the Theatre Royal pantomime production of Cinderella in Wakefield. The children represented the school really well and loved the show! Meanwhile, the children in EYFS loved their visit from Professor Dan and his puppet show as a special Christmas treat! These events were only made possible because of your support with fundraising, so thank you very much on behalf of all the children and staff.
All that remains for me to say is that I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone! See you in 2025, Mr Greene
