Friday 13th Decemeber 2024

Thank you for your continued support this week as we enjoyed celebrating the Christmas Season together! On Monday, we began the week with our KS2 Carol Concert. We are so proud of all the pupils in Teams Derwent, Foss, Calder and Humber who performed a variety of Christmas songs, carols and musical pieces. During the performance we were also treated to two pieces of music performed by children with tuned bells and recorders. Well done Team and a huge thanks to the staff team in KS2, especially Mrs Everett, who organised the event! 

On Tuesday we hosted our annual Christmas Secret room. Organised by Mrs Hand, with the incredible support of the local Catalogue Outlet Store on Low Street, the children loved coming and choosing presents for their loved ones. Thank you to our army of volunteers who came in to wrap everything and the staff team for their help. We continue to be SO GRATEFUL to the team at the Outlet Store for their generosity and to all of you at home as all of the funds raised go directly towards new resources (like our new library) and experiences for the children. Without your support, these valuable initiatives would not be possible. 

On Wednesday, we were delighted to host Christmas Dinner in school, which was lots of fun and very tasty! Our school Cook, Alma, and her team did an amazing job (starting at the crack of dawn) cooking and preparing everything! We hope you enjoyed this special event with us. 

Next Monday we have our Christmas Discos after school. On Tuesday EYFS have special visitors coming in with a Christmas Puppet Show and KS1 and KS2 have their trip to the Pantomime!
