Christmas Shows launch the season in style!

A huge thank you for coming along to enjoy our Christmas Shows this week in school. On Tuesday, the children in Team Esk and Team Nidd shared their performance of The Nativity and they did a wonderful job! I was very impressed with their excellent singing and acting skills! Then, on Wednesday, the children in Team Aire and Team Ouse, shared their KS1 Christmas Performance featuring a variety of different songs and poems. The children also showed off their amazing music skills by performing pieces using untuned and tuned percussion instruments! I was absolutely blown away and I hope those of you who were there also felt very proud. A massive thank you to all the teachers who worked hard to make these performances happen and for supporting the children. What a wonderful way to launch the Christmas season!

Next week, we are looking forward to sharing the KS2 carol concert in the school hall on Monday at 14:00. We will also be offering the Secret Room next Tuesday and then enjoying the annual School Christmas Dinner next Wednesday.

In other news, this afternoon it has been a great joy to take our ‘Gabrieli Roar’ pupil choir to perform with the international Gabrieli choir at York Minster for their Christmas Carol Concert. This is a really exciting opportunity for our children to perform in a very special setting alongside professional singers and we are very proud of them for representing the school so well.

Finally, on behalf of the pupils and staff, I would like to say a massive thank you for your continued support with our fundraising this week with the Christmas Raffles! We are pleased to share that we raised an incredible £254. All fundraising goes directly into provision and experiences for the children; we are so grateful for all of your help as always.

Thank you for your continued support and have a wonderful weekend, Mr Greene
