Year 6 Residential Fun!
This week the children in Year 6 went on their end of primary school residential trip to Carlton Lodge in North Yorkshire. They have all worked incredibly hard this year, and having recently completed their SATs, they were very excited to enjoy this special time together! Organised by Miss Smyth, with support from Miss Haffendan and Mrs Caffrey, the team spent three days at the activity centre and lake up near Thirsk and had a wonderful time!
During their time at Carlton Lodge the children enjoyed a wide range of activities which they took in their stride! Everybody showed bravery and resilience when taking part in activities such as climbing wall, archery, high ropes, zip line, kayaking, problem solving and orienteering. As well as the outdoor activities, the children also played games like Giant Hungry Hippos and some even ended the water sports by jumping in the lake! We couldn’t have asked for better weather as well! Well done everyone and a big thank you to the staff team for giving up their time to organise and lead this amazing trip!
Thank you for all of your ongoing support this half-term; I can’t believe it’s the half-term break already! We have lots to look forward to in our final term but for now, I hope you all have a lovely break. See you on Monday 2nd June! Mr Greene
