Friday 22nd May 2026
This week Team Aire and Ouse wowed us with their Musical Showcase Assembly on Monday! During their performance, we were treated to their wonderful singing and actions. They had the opportunity to show off some of the songs that they have been learning during music. They also got to perform with percussion and showed us what they have learned about rhythm and pulse on Tuesday mornings with Miss Dickinson. Thank you to all the parents and carers for coming along to support and thank you to the teaching team for their hard work organising this event.
On Wednesday, the children in EYFS celebrated National Numeracy Day 2026. National Numeracy Day is the UK’s only campaign dedicated to improving everyday maths. Children and staff came into school dressed up to help children feel more confident with numbers in their daily lives and at school. Thank you Team Esk and Nidd for your support with this!
Meanwhile, in Team Humber the children in Year 6 have been learning about the famous painter Van Gogh. This week they have been painting in the style of Van Gogh and they have made some fantastic ‘Starry Night’ paintings. Well done Team Humber!
Finally, may I take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and partnership this term. Enjoy the half-term break (and the sunshine!) and we look forward to seeing you for the final part of the academic year!
Thank you for your continued support and see you in June, Mr Greene
