Coronavirus Update
Dear Parents/Carers
Thank you for your continued support whilst we are making sure we are doing everything we can to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Please be reassured our Trust is putting in place actions in the event of early closure of schools and are following government advice.
As a school we are minimizing the risk by cancelling any events that involve people coming in and children going out of school. Please could I also ask that if your child has any symptoms of a continuous cough, fever or chest pains, you self-isolate your child for 7 days, as per government guidance. If parents have kept their children off today with a cough/fever, please follow the government guidance.
Please can I also ask that children attending breakfast club are handed over at the door and Key Stage 1 children line up outside before the beginning of the day. Teachers will meet the children and take them into school. Parents are already aware not to come through the school to speak to the office or to leave the school after dropping off in a morning.
Over the past two weeks we have spoken to children and shown them a video about washing hands regularly. I am sure you are talking to your children about washing hands regularly at home as well so, working together, we can ensure children know how important this is.
We will therefore be CANCELLING the following events:
i2i Football after-school club – We are postponing this for the meantime and will give you more information once the sessions have been rearranged.
Tuesday 17th March – Rugby competition
Wednesday 18th March – Year 3 Stockbridge visit
Thursday 19th March – Esk and Nidd sharing assembly
Friday 20th March – Mother’s Day secret room
Monday 23rd March – Mother’s Day afternoon tea
Tuesday 24th March – Easter Egg Bingo
Wednesday 25th March – Easter service
Friday 27th March – Non-uniform day
Monday 30th March – Friday 3rd April – Chocolate tombola after school
Tuesday 31st March – Easter Disco
Thursday 2nd April – Egg decorating (please do not send children in with an egg. We will have Easter activities in school instead).
Friday 3rd April – Easter crafts with parents during the afternoon
We will still have Easter activities in school so the children will not miss out.
I will keep you updated with any Trust information as soon as I receive it.
Many thanks
Mrs Fletcher
