Latest School Update

Dear parents/carers

Thank you for working with us as we minimise risk in school with the Coronavirus pandemic.  We are currently putting plans in place in the event that the school has to close and children have to learn at home.  

I have spoken to the children to reassure them but also to make sure they understand that if we do have to close, this is not an extended holiday and we would expect them to complete school work.

Our plans are to have class timetables for children to follow with specific learning, either in books or online.  There will be additional internet links provided for children to access to support learning.  Teachers will be very specific what they need their children to learn each day.  I am also hoping we can set up a webinar type link for the children to check in with the teacher during specific time frames each day. Key Stage 2 children will take home chromebooks on loan from school with learning packs and Early Years and Key Stage 1 children will have learning packs with links to the internet to support learning.

Parents will be able to contact school via our school mobile (details to follow) between specific times and any messages will be passed on to teachers or myself.  Parents can also email admin (admin.bbs@ebor.academy). Please could parents not contact teachers directly as teachers will only be responding to emails from parents via admin. 

For those children who are already self isolating, we will make sure they get their learning packs as soon as possible but please bear with us as we want the children to have work linking specifically to their learning needs rather than general learning worksheets.  Please continue to get children to read every day and practice maths basics such as counting and times tables.

Please ensure that you are subscribed to our website https://brothertonandbyram.ebor.academy/ and that you check your ParentHub app on a regular basis, as this is how we will be communicating with parents/carers over the coming days/weeks.
