Dear Parents/Carers,
It has been quite a couple of weeks!
Last week our Year 6 children completed their SATs and showed such courage and resilience and tried so hard. We are so proud of them.
They have then been on their residential to Scarborough this week and have had a great time making dens and orienteering in Dalby Forest, sketching at Scarborough castle, fish and chips on the beach, bowling and going to the Sealife centre to name just a few activities they have done. Quizzes and bingo in the hostel also went down a treat. They will certainly sleep well this weekend!
Some of our key stage 2 children also took part in a football event after school this week and worked really well as a team – well done and thank you to them for representing the school so well.
Today is the last day for parents to put your name forward to be a governor from September. It is a great opportunity and it would be great to have you on the team so please let the office know if you are interested.
And finally, I am sure you will all share your congratulations to Mr Greene, who will be Headteacher at Brotherton in September. I have no doubt he will continue the good work we are doing in school and will take the school from strength to strength.
Have a lovely weekend.
Many thanks,
Mrs Fletcher
