Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you all had a lovely May bank holiday last weekend and are looking forward to our additional bank holiday this weekend for the King’s coronation.

Thank you to all who came to our belated Mothers Day afternoon last Friday; we have had some great feedback so thank you – it is always lovely to have parents and families in school.

I am really sorry some classes had to close and one at short notice on Tuesday because of teacher strikes and staffing.  Thank you so much for your understanding.

This week we have been settling back into learning after the bank holiday and preparing for our Year 6’s to shine next week during the end of Key Stage 2 SATs.  They have worked so hard and deserve to do well.  We are very proud of them!

We finish the week celebrating Year 3’s learning as well as a King’s coronation parade and picnic.  Please look out on our website and twitter for pictures.

We have an exciting opportunity in September for a parent to join our governing body.  Parent governors are so important for us to ensure we are finding every opportunity for all our children to grow their experiences and make good progress.  It also gives parents a good insight into what goes into teaching and learning and school development.  A message will go out on Tuesday so please have a look and, if you are interested, we have nomination forms and further information in the office.  The deadline for nominations is Friday 19th May.

Although it looks like it is not going to be the sunniest, have a lovely long weekend and see you all next week.

Many thanks again for all the support you give school to make it an amazing place to learn.

Mrs Fletcher
