Friday 22nd December 2023

As we approach the end of the year, I would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to all of our parents, carers and families in our community. Thank you for your support and encouragement this term as we work and learn together. We are so proud of all of our pupils and their incredible attitude towards learning new things! They have all worked so hard and deserve a good rest and time out of the Christmas break.

This term, we have been delighted to enjoy a wide range of activities and experiences with the pupils. Highlights have included visits from Zoolab, Pro Bike, Zamble African Dancing and Super Star Sports. We have also been running some exciting trips including the Year 4 residential to Kingswood, the EYFS trip to the National Centre for Emergency Services and the Year 6 trip to Magna. We are also delighted to have secured a wide range of new instruments and a specialist music teacher from North Yorkshire. Our children have really enjoyed learning how to play ukuleles, brass and violin this term and we look forward to seeing their skills develop next year.

Thank you for supporting us with our parent events as well this term. It has been great to hear your voice in our Parent Forum and online workshops around our new RSE curriculum. We were also pleased to share the children’s learning with you this term at our celebration of learning event in November. We will be hosting our next celebration event on Thursday 7th March 2024 and we hope to see you there.

In terms of upcoming events, please take a look at the calendar dates that we have sent out today to see what is coming up. There are some key dates below for things happening in January 2024 as well. We will also be issuing a new set of clubs in the New Year so keep a look out for a new range of exciting activities to sign your child up to when we return to school. Our term dates have also been published on the website for the following academic year (2024/2025), which you can also see below.

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Mr Greene
