Newsletter 4th April 2025
Friday 4th April 2025
Wow this term had absolutely flown past! I cannot believe how much the children have learned this term and how quickly it has gone by! As we approach the Easter Break I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for all your continued support in partnering with us as a school community on your children’s learning journey. We are so proud of all the children and the progress they are making. We hope that you have found the parent consultations informative this term. We also hope that you have enjoyed the open door events, like the celebration of learning, and the sharing assemblies; I have been very impressed with the learning across school!
Thank you as well for your support this week on Monday at our Easter Celebration in church. It was a great pleasure to be able to share the story of Easter and the work that the children have been doing with you as a parent community. Thank you for joining us and we hope you enjoyed it!
In other news this week, Year 1 have been on their trip to Pontefract Castle. Linked to their current History topic, this was a fantastic opportunity to explore a local landmark and apply their new learning about medieval castles. The children loved the visit and they represented the school incredibly well! Miss Catterall and all the staff were very proud of them. Thank you Miss Catterall for organising it all and we hope you enjoyed your ‘Be a Knight’ day today in school as well!
Finally, there are lots of events coming up for your diaries in the summer term when we return to school. Please see some of the key dates below and look out for the summer term calendar dates, which are being sent to all parents and carers from the school office. We have lots to look forward to, but for now we know that the children are looking forward to a nice break.
Thank you for your continued support and enjoy the Easter Break! We look forward to seeing you in the Summer Term, Mr Greene
