A message from the Headteacher …

Dear Parents,

We have had another great week at school with children very excited about our new curriculum focus of ‘Our World’.  Please check the website on our curriculum page to see what the children will be learning this term. Dates of events happening in school should also be on the website today and shared on ParentHub so please check what is happening this term.  Dates will also be put up on our notice boards as parents have said this would also be useful. Each week we will continue to share what is happening the following week so you don’t miss any important dates.

Thank you to everyone who have brought children in school on time every day.  Children who come in to school on time do not miss out on any learning, particularly their start of the day challenges.  If you are struggling to get your child in school on time, please let us know so we can work together to get them in school for the start of the day.

Parking outside of school and the safety of our children is becoming more and more  concerning. I sent a message out to parents this week about actions we will be taking in partnership with the police to ensure our children are safe walking to and from school.  Please can I ask again that if you can, walk to school to alleviate the parking problem or, if you can’t, please park at the village hall and walk to school from there. We appreciate that some parents cannot walk as they have work commitments so if you need to park at the front of school (both for breakfast club and at the start of the school day) please can you  park respectfully to residents and legally.

This week, our Year 5 children have had a session about First Aid which they thought was great and we hope that all children can have these sessions moving forward.

Next week we are celebrating Chinese New Year and hope you can join us on Friday afternoon.  During Friday afternoon there is the opportunity for you to come and join me to discuss exciting opportunities we have planned for our children in school and also reviewing school uniform.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Looking forward to seeing you all next week,

Mrs Fletcher
