Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you to you all for being so positive this week in such worrying times and working so hard to help your children complete work at home.  Everyone has pulled together and we are all finding ways to make working and learning from home manageable.

Please be reassured that all our staff are working really hard to ensure all children are able to access the learning set and are available to support parents.  Please continue to ring in and leave a message or send emails. Our admin team are monitoring emails and messages during school hours and passing on messages to the teachers.

If you can and have time, it would be great if you could send any photos of children learning from home so we can put on our website to share with the rest of our school community.

Parents should get next week’s planning through today but if you have any issues accessing the planning, please contact the  admin team via email admin.bbs@ebor.academy and the teacher will reply on parenthub.  The two weeks after next are meant to be our Easter holidays; we will not be setting any specific learning for those two weeks but will be sharing lots of activities families and children could do at home.  Teaching staff will be on a rota during this time but will only be responding to messages left either by phone or email to admin. Planning for the first week after the holidays will be sent as soon as we can so children can get back to structured learning week commencing 20th April.

I also have a request:  It would be really good to share any other things you have done at home to ensure we all have lots to do, either playing a special game, cooking a special recipe that you have not tried before, activities to do as a family, good books to read, websites, apps to share for example.  If you would like to join in with this, please email us (admin.bbs@ebor.academy), share on parenthub or leave a phone message with any ideas or suggestions. Teachers have been putting ideas together already so it would be great to add to our list of ‘101 Things To Do To Keep Strong’ challenge.  We are intending to put one suggestion out a day on our website and parenthub so please, if you can, let us know any more ideas and share what you have tried.

Many thanks for all your support and team work during this difficult time.  Please contact school if you have any concerns or want to share some great things you have done with your children.

I hope you have a good weekend, have time to recharge your batteries, ready for another week in our ever changing world.
