BB sends books to Malawi!

The staff and pupils of Brotherton and Byram CP Academy were delighted to partner with the Pupils from Manor academy in York to send books to children in a Nursery in Malawi this week. Our chair of governors has taken a group of pupils from Manor Secondary School to support children in Malawi following a school fundraising drive.  We were pleased to support this trip by sending over some surplus books as well, for example, where we had duplicate copies of texts. As you can see from the photos below, the children in Malawi have really enjoyed sharing the stories together this week! We were delighted to support the charity and the work further supports our children’s understanding of their global place in the world around them.
