School Update 04.10.19

A message from the Headteacher…

We have had another great week in school with lots of children reading at least five times. Harvest Festival this week was also really good and the children sang and performed so well.  It was good to have every child in school performing. Thank you again to everyone who joined us in church and for all your Foodbank donations .

We have launched ParentHub this week so please look out for an invitation to join.  Information will also be posted on the website so, if you know of any parent who has not subscribed, please show them or ask them to pop in to school and we will help.

Today we have our next sporting event and some children will be taking part in a hockey tournament against other schools.  Keep checking the website to see how the children have got on.

What’s happening next week:

Grandparents morning and lunch – Thursday 10th October

We would love you to come and join us on Thursday 10th October for the grandparents morning and lunch. If you would like to arrive at school for 10.45 am you will be able to spend some time in your grandchild’s class and see what they are learning.

We would then like to invite you to have lunch with your grandchild/children and this will start at 11.45am. Please see the previous post on the Grandparents morning which gives information on the menu and payment.

Our school target is 97%

This week our attendance was 92.35%

Nidd – 93.7%

Aire – 91.7%

Ouse – 93.5%

Derwent – 92.1%

Foss – 92.3%

Calder – 95.8%

Humber – 94%
