School Update 24.01.2020

A message from the Headteacher …

Dear Parents,

Today the children have been learning about Chinese New Year which has been great fun, finishing off a great week of learning.  Thank you to all parents who joined in with their learning this afternoon.  

Thank you also to parents who came to our Parent Forums this week.  We discussed new opportunities for children in school and reviewed our school uniform policy.  I will be sending out information about what was discussed and agreed with the parents next week.

We have had some really positive feedback from parents this week regarding our focus on safe parking.  Thank you to everyone for taking this seriously and not parking on the zig zags or the entrance to the school.  We will continue to work with the police on this but hopefully, now everyone is getting used to parking slightly further away, further action from the police will not be necessary.

For school dinners week commencing Monday 3rd February – please book on ParentPay by Sunday 26th January 2020. Please note that the ParentPay system allows a 2 hour period for payment of meal bookings otherwise the booking will be cancelled.

Monday 27th January – Parent Forum at 5.30pm. Please come along and join us to discuss matters relating to the school and to put your views forward.

Friday 31st January – Derwent sharing assembly at 2.50pm – please come and join us to share the children’s learning.
