Good afternoon,

It has been really good to have our first get together this afternoon with parents in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.  For those parents who could make it, we hope you enjoyed our first whole school event.  It was for such a good cause too.  If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry, we have other events (please see the list of events shared last week for this term).

We have had another good week in school and have started a ‘golden table’ on a Friday lunchtime for those children who were ‘Pupil of the Week’ the previous week.  Please look out for the post on the website.

As we settle back into school, I have had several complaints about parking.  I know it has been tricky with the waste land where parents park being closed but the environment agency have now moved all equipment so it now can be used again.  Please would you mind not parking on the entrance road to school unless you have a disabled badge and avoid the zig zags and residents’ driveways.  I do appreciate how difficult parking is but please can I ask you to park further away from school if you need to.

Next week it is ‘Walk to School’ week in school so please walk to school if you can.  Even if you can’t, please try to park your car further away as this counts too!

Next week, we have a Year 6 SATs meeting on Tuesday at 5.30.  Mrs Christie will send details out to parents.  Then on Wednesday we have our first ‘Parent Forum’ on zoom at 5.30.  This will be an opportunity for us to share what we are doing in school, our school priorities and what we have planned as well as safeguarding updates.  It will also be a good time to answer any question you have, now we are able to open school up to parents coming in and are able to plan for more opportunities such as trips and visitors in school.  Please join us if you can; it would be lovely to see lots of you at the meeting.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Fletcher
